Our Education Fund was established with the sole purpose of providing funding for educationally based youth programs. The fund is supported by individuals, corporations, or grantors donating sums of money into a trust, where it is managed by The NFL Alumni Association for specified educational purposes. The fund may benefit a single individual, or it can be a charitable holding benefiting a group of people such as scholarship recipients, an educational institution, or other designated programs.
The Player Development Fund (PDF) was created to support the mental, physical, and emotional development of student athletes. PDF provides financial aid to Michigan Elite Football Club members who do not have the financial means to cover the cost of tuition. Full tuition may be awarded to MEFC members in need. Families with two players in the same household may also apply for aid for each child. Aid is awarded on two factors: (1) need (2) availability of funds. Members must hold a overall GPA of 2.2, submit an application along with their academic transcript and a letter of recommendation. PDF also supports general player programming initiatives of Michigan Elite Football Club such as tutoring, mentorship, health and wellness, and college readiness workshops
Michigan Elite Football Club was established in 2009 to enhance the brand of football in Michigan by creating a safe, structured, and competitive off-season developmental program. They conduct non-contact training sessions for players of all ages, participate in local and national competitions, visit colleges, and provide recruiting guidance, and mentorship. MEFC programs are designed to enhance and develop new skills to achieve new levels of play and self confidence, and support the mental and emotional development of the student.
Students learn from an experienced coaching staff that includes former NFL players, collegiate coaches, and seasoned high school coaches. Most importantly, they pride themselves on nurturing our young leaders of tomorrow by emphasizing citizenship, intellectual development, and leadership
